The objective of MARUAH (Singapore Working Committee for an ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism) is to inform and facilitate, from a Singaporean perspective, the establishment of an ASEAN human rights body.
We aim to accomplish the following objectives:
- inform, educate and advocate on human rights
- provide a Singaporean perspective on the establishment of an ASEAN human rights mechanism
- formulate a process for Singapore civil society to establish its space in the area of human rights
- increase the comfort space between the state and Singapore civil society
